FELLOWSHIP OPPORTUNITY

In 2002, FEPP invited applications for a one-year, full-time research fellowship in the area of artistic and intellectual freedom. Nancy Kranich became FEPP's first and only senior research fellow in 2003-04.

Nancy wrote several commentaries analyzing the "USA PATRIOT" Act and other threats to civil liberties, as well as the policy report, The Information Commons.
The Free Expression Policy Project began in 2000 to provide empirical research and policy development on tough censorship issues and seek free speech-friendly solutions to the concerns that drive censorship campaigns. In May 2004, it became part of the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. FEPP is supported by grants from the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation, the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Educational Foundation of America, and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
